Iconometer Issue 1: pipes and plumbing
Issue 1 began because my brain needed a break from working on a large scale print piece about industrial archaeology titled "Flower Machines." As my large project became more complicated and long term I felt the need for the more immediate gratification of smaller scale projects and Iconometer was born. It explores the concept of pipes and plumbing and makes use of found diagrams, original illustrations in pencil and intaglio. A hand carved rubber stamp of a drain pipe was created for this issue and printed in red ink. Photocopy on white bond. Signed in pencil with rubber stamp "one" on last page.
